Regional Meetings
AEA Central Regional Meeting Set for Oct. 17-19 in Dallas
The 2012 AEA Central Regional Meeting takes place Oct. 17-19 at the Westin Dallas Fort Worth Airport Hotel. The deadline for advance registrations is Oct. 12. The Westin is adjacent to DFW International Airport and offers free shuttle service to and from for guests. The three-day event begins with a Fast Trak training session on safety management systems presented by Ric Peri, AEA vice president. Attendees will learn more about the AEA’s proprietary SMS program designed for maintenance organizations. The AEA hosts regional meetings annually throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, Latin American and the South Pacific. Several attendees, as well as exhibitors, gather for two to three days of regulatory and technical seminars, business management sessions and exhibits. The events offer a forum to see, hear and learn about all the new technology on the market, network with industry peers and discover best practices for the aviation repair station industry. The AEA Educational Foundation, in partnership with the National Center for Aerospace and Transportation Technologies, will offer registered attendees free Aircraft Electronics Technician certification and endorsement exams. Attendees may test their knowledge in achieving the NCATT’s highly regarded avionics technician certification. This $100 value is only available through the AEA at its regional meetings. q
