“I’m used to just being one of the
guys,” she said.
Thiebeau graduated last fall and
started contract work at Bizjet International. The company was established in Tulsa in 1986. It is a Lufthansa Technik Component Services
company and specializes in outfitting
and modification, maintenance, refurbishment and green completions of
VIP and business jets in the Boeing
BBJ and Airbus ACJ family.
Thiebeau spends most of her time
in 737-300 electronic and equipment
bays. LTCS purchased 14 of these
airliners from Lufthansa. The com-

pany is tearing them down and using
the components to supply customers
with inexpensive spare parts. She
is on the B737 second-life removal
crew. Similar to her experience at
Spartan, she is one of two females.
“I am respected and treated just
like anyone else at work and am
expected to do the same type of work
as the males,” Thiebeau said.
When the tear-down project is
complete, Thiebeau hopes to get
hired full time with Bizjet’s main
shop as an avionics and systems
technician. With the NCATT AET,
including five endorsements and a
Federal Communications Commission license in hand, it’s likely she
will get her wish.

Thiebeau is the type of person
who is never finished with learning.
Currently, she is attending Tulsa Tech
with a goal of earning her airframe
and powerplant certificate. She plans
to continue her education by earning a bachelor’s degree in aviation
maintenance, and Oklahoma State
University is on her list of possible
colleges to complete her degree.
Thiebeau is due to deliver a baby
in July. She hopes by the time her
pregnancy becomes a factor at work
that she will no longer be stuffing
herself into 737 E&E bays.
With Thiebeau’s ambition and
commitment to lifelong learning,
AEA members should expect to hear
about her in the future. q
