GOGO BUSINESS AVIATION added moving map capabilities to Gogo Vision, the
company's on-demand in-flight entertainment and information service.
According to the company, moving map capabilities have been integrated into the
Gogo Vision in-flight experience and
are now included without additional
fees.
Gogo Vision offers a large library
of the latest movies and TV episodes, which can be updated as
often as the aircraft owner wishes, as
well as news, flight progress information, destination weather and moving
maps. Gogo Vision service is delivered in the aircraft by Gogo's UCS
5000 system - business aviation's first all-in-one smart router and media server.
Passengers can access Gogo Vision on a wide variety of personal, Wi-Fi-enabled
devices such as tablets and laptops.

Gogo Business Aviation said that Dassault will offer a factory-approved solution to
help Falcon operators comply with emerging future air navigation system mandates.
The solution includes Iridium-based communications systems from Gogo Business
Aviation. The solution is available via a Dassault Service Bulletin at any authorized
Falcon service facility for Falcon 900, Falcon 2000 and Falcon 7X aircraft with EASy
II flight decks.

DUNCAN AVIATION received FAA
supplemental type certification for the
installation of a future air navigation
system 1/A+ solution for a Falcon
900B with Universal Avionics EFI890R Advanced Flight Displays.
Since the announcement of the
Universal Avionics EFI-890R Falcon
900B avionics retrofit option last fall,
Duncan Aviation has completed two
of the Falcon 900B avionics upgrades.
The FANS 1/A+ certification will allow
aircraft wanting to fly the most efficient
path to Europe to do so. As other
aircraft continue to wait for a solution
to meet the 2017 guidelines, Duncan
noted that Falcon 900B owners now
have a pathway.
"The benefits of FANS 1/A+ to the
Falcon 900B are huge," said GARY
HARPSTER, a Duncan Aviation avionics sales representative. "It improves
safety, reduces operating costs and
flight time to Europe, and gives crew
and passengers access to the most
efficient routing for the current conditions."
FANS 1/A+ replaces verbal position
reports using HF radio communications with satellite-based automatic
position reports that are delivered by
the aircraft's FMS and data link system
directly to air traffic controllers. This
increases safety by improving accuracy of the reports, reducing the possibility of human errors in the transmission
and lessening pilot workload.

Vero Beach Avionics
VERO BEACH AVIONICS received FAA STC SA04005AT validating installation of
the Garmin GSR 56 Iridium Transceiver in the G1000-equipped Piper PA-46 series
aircraft in May 2014.
Following the approval, the company received EASA validation through
EASA STC 10049690 and ANAC (Brazil) validation through ANAC STC
2014S10-05.
The GSR 56 provides Iridium weather and communications worldwide, allowing
operators to not only have voice and text communication through the Iridium satellite
network but also satellite weather display in those parts of the world not covered by
Sirius/XM Datalink.
