AVIONICS & SYSTEMS INTEGRATION GROUP announced its flyTab
Team has successfully completed the first on-aircraft certification of its FAAconforming flyTab Dual Class 2 iPad EFB.
According to the company, the first conforming flyTab system was installed
on a NAV CANADA Flight Inspection CL-600-2B19.
"This is a very important milestone for the flyTab product line," said VAN
SIMMONS, director of flyTab SDK and iOS AppDev. "The system was
assembled, installed and tested in accordance with strict FAA certification
processes. These results reflect the flyTab Team's focus and determination
to develop a class-leading and cost-effective EFB platform."

GUARDIAN AVIONICS, a division of CO Guardian LLC, announced RICK
PLUTE has joined the company as vice president of sales.

Plute will work directly with original equipment manufacturers,
distributors, dealers and the general aviation community to

20 years of marketing and sales experience, as well as his

STEVE DAVIS director of technical support and business development. He

formerly served as the company's director of airline and government sales.
Davis will assist all sales staff with technical issues, proposals and
research. He also will assist in the identification of potential new business
partners for the company. He has been with the company since 1996.
In addition, DAC International announced the promotion of JULIE
WESTCOTT to director of programs and products. She previously served as
program and products sales manager. In her new role, Westcott will ensure
the company's interface with the OEMs. She has been with DAC since 1986.
