GREENWICH AEROGROUP announced three new dealers

have joined the company's dealer network for the installation
and certification of LiveAero Broadband SATCOM systems.
The companies joining the Greenwich dealership are
West Star Aviation, with facilities in Grand Junction,
Colorado, East Alton, Illinois, and Columbia, South Carolina;
Pro Star Aviation with a facility in Londonderry, New
Hampshire; and Aviation Partners Group with capabilities in
Punta Gorda, Florida, Moscow, Russia, and Kiev, Ukraine.
Other current dealers for the product include Greenwich
AeroGroup's Atlantic Aero in Greensboro, North Carolina;
Summit Aviation in Middletown, Delaware; and Western
Aircraft in Boise, Idaho; Banyan Air Service in Fort
Lauderdale, Florida; Spirit Aeronautics in Columbus,

Ohio; and Jet Aviation in Basel, Switzerland, Dubai and
Singapore.

Greenwich AeroGroup announced Matrix Aviation in
Wichita, Kansas, has completed its merger with its sister company, Professional Aviation Associates in Atlanta,
Georgia. According to Greenwich, the merger positions
the combined companies to provide customers one point
of contact with access to a wider support structure and
broader array of products and services. The newly merged
companies are also now located in a new 46,000 squarefoot state-of-the-art distribution facility close to Atlanta's
Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

True Blue Power
TRUE BLUE POWER, a division of MID-CONTINENT
INSTRUMENTS AND AVIONICS, recently announced the

FAA TSO (technical standard order) C179a and EASA ETSO
(European technical standard order) certification of the TB17
Advanced Lithium-ion Battery. The TB17 is the first lithium-ion
engine start battery for business and commercial aviation to
receive either certification.
"We are extremely pleased to receive TSO and
ETSO approval for the TB17 Advanced
Lithium-ion Battery," said RICK
SLATER., True Blue Power division
manager. "It sends a message that
this technology has been validated
and certified by the FAA and EASA
and is ready to be delivered on an
airframe. There's a distinct difference
between having a certified product
and having a product that's still under
development. Having FAA and European
TSO certification makes it far easier for an

airframe manufacturer to incorporate the TB17 into an aircraft
design when the safety of the battery has been validated,
the specifications have been verified, and production will be
continually audited to ensure compliance with the FAA and
EASA standards. That provides customer confidence."
According to the company, the TB17 is designed primarily
for light turbine and piston aircraft. At 16 pounds, it
offers a 45 percent weight savings compared
to older, lead-acid and nickel-cadmium
alternatives, and it is being evaluated
by several airframe manufacturers
for installation in a variety of
aircraft. The TB17 form factors and
dimensions are similar to currently
available alternatives, making it easy
to integrate into new helicopter or
fixed-wing designs or to upgrade
existing aircraft.
