L-3 Aviation Products Scholarship

Joshua Hundley of Rochester, Illinois, will
attend Lincoln Land Community College to
pursue his airframe and powerplant license. A
self-proclaimed aviation maintenance technician
from birth, Hundley spent his summers camping under the wing of the family's aircraft at
AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and participating in Young
Eagle flights. Some of his fondest memories were helping his
father rivet the tail section of an antique Luscombe.

Dominic Valenti of Council Bluffs, Iowa, is
attending Iowa Western Community College
and pursuing his A&P license. A licensed
pilot, he is working on his instrument rating
for fixed-wing aircraft and his commercial rating for helicopters. Valenti plans to pursue an
inspection authorization certificate while employed in either
fixed- or rotor-wing maintenance. He also volunteers at the
Marion, Iowa, airport during its fly-ins.

Kyle Johnson of Lakeland, Florida, is attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in
Daytona Beach and pursuing a Bachelor of
Science in aviation maintenance. Johnson is a
past winner of the AEA's Garmin scholarship
and the Dutch and Ginger Arver scholarship.
He is focused on a career in maintenance management with
an aviation equipment manufacturer, commercial airline, corporate flight department or freight carrier.

Cody Wright of Ridgeway, Virginia, is currently enrolled in the aviation technology program
at Guilford Technical Community College.
A past recipient of the AEA's Lee Tarbox
Memorial Scholarship, Wright also was
named the state of North Carolina Skills USA
Champion in 2014 for aviation maintenance technology.

Gene Baker Memorial Scholarship

Sara Fox of Erie, Pennsylvania, is the daughter
of Jamie Fox, who works for AEA member
Aero Instruments & Avionics Inc. in North
Towanda, New Jersey. Fox is a senior at
Mercyhurst University, majoring in forensic
anthropology and has been on the dean's list
every semester since her freshman year. The chapter president
for the Political Science Honor Society, she aspires to work for
the Smithsonian Institution or the United Nations.

Jim Cook Honorary Scholarship

Juan Miguel Sanchez of Milton, Ontario,
Canada is the son of Maria Sanchez, who works
for Field Aviation in Mississauga, Ontario,
Canada. Sanchez recently completed his
undergraduate study in biology at New York
University in Toronto. Sanchez will attend the
University of Minnesota School of Dentistry where he plans to
earn his degree and then further specialize in his field or establish a private practice.

Justin Barnes of Cynthiana, Kentucky, plans
to attend Somerset Community College to
pursue an associate degree in aviation maintenance technology. Barnes earned his private
pilot's license in August 2013, and he plans
to keep working on his complex and high-performance
endorsements as well as the instrument and commercial ratings. Barnes would like to follow his associate degree by
earning his avionics certification.

Leon Harris/Les Nichols Memorial Scholarship to Spartan
College of Aeronautics and Technology
Joshua Bauder of Greenbrier, Arkansas, has long had an interest in electronics and has dreamt of working in aviation since
his childhood. An active member of his church and high school
sports teams, Bauder knows the importance of being involved
and being a good teammate and how that can help fulfill your
dreams. He plans to attend the Spartan College of Aeronautics
and Technology to complete an associate degree of applied science in avionics maintenance technology.
