However, details of the Lynx product
line are still being kept under wraps
as of press time. According to L-3,
the company is in the final phases of
testing and anticipates the product will
be unveiled in the next few months.

ADS-B mandate, while going beyond

The company recently certified
its new NXT-series of ADS-B Out
transponders.

ADS-B and NextGen products to
develop a game-changing product that
has been specifically tailored to fit the
panel and budget of today's general
aviation aircraft and pilots," Riddle
said. "The product and capabilities
roadmap for Lynx is extensive, as we
grow our interconnectivity with the
rest of the cockpit. All Lynx models
incorporate an ADS-B rule-compliant
position source to simplify the system
and reuse existing antennas and wiring
to streamline installation."
The company noted that the Lynx
product line will include four basic
models ranging from an ADS-B Out
only system to a transponder form
factor system. According to the
company, the Lynx will offer solutions
priced below $2,000 depending on
aircraft owners' needs and aircraft
configuration.
