AEROSPACE PRODUCTS INTERNATIONAL announced the completion
of the integration of Avionics International Supply Inc. into the API portfolio of
companies.
"Building on the successes of AIS over the many years in the avionics industry,
API is excited about the opportunities to support the avionics market and to
continue to grow and expand its product offering and services," said BRAD
SUTPHIN, category manager for avionics and electrical. "Improving upon the AIS
custom UV laser wire marking service, API has expanded this program to increase
production capabilities, allow for order expedites, and has increased production
rates to handle orders of any size."
According to the company, API is OEM-authorized to distribute aircraft parts
and accessories to manufacturers, maintenance providers and operators of some
of the most widely used military, commercial, corporate and general aviation

GLOBAL PARTS GROUP INC. of
Augusta, Kansas, announced it has
acquired the assets of Tulakes Aero Inc.
of Bethany, Oklahoma, and incorporated
them into a new division of the Global
Parts Group, named Global Parts Aero
Structures Inc.
Originally founded as Jet Service
Enterprises Inc. in 1975, Tulakes offers
manufacturing, engineering and quality
inspection services to commercial,
military and corporate operators, as well
as service centers, fixed base operators
and charter companies.
"We feel like this acquisition fits well
into the overall business model for Global
Parts," said MALISSA NESMITH, Global
Parts Group senior vice president and
chief operating officer. "We are looking
forward to continuing to expand on our
capabilities in the Oklahoma facility. We
have made significant investments in
equipment and technology in recent
months.
"These acquisitions represent the
latest step in the diversification and
expansion of the Global Parts Group Inc.
We have now added expertise in working
with composite structure and sheet metal,
and are positioned to supplement the
operations of airframe manufacturers
as well as provide parts and services
to our existing customer bases. By
maintaining the former Tulakes operation
in Oklahoma, we have also expanded
our Part 145 repair station footprint and
capacity beyond our Kansas location."

Cobham SATCOM
COBHAM SATCOM announced its AVIATOR 200 SwiftBroadband solution
received AdministraciĆ³n Nacional de AvianciĆ³n Civil (ANAC) Brazil STC
approval for installation by King Air operators.
According to the company, the new certification was developed in
cooperation with Cobham SATCOM partner Pro Star Aviation and includes
the activation of the AVIATOR 200's built-in Wi-Fi option, offering access
to an extensive range of
communication capabilities
aboard King Air models
B200, B200C and B300
(Super King Air 350).
The approval of the STC
for use of the Cobham
system
on
Brazilianregistered aircraft adds to
the FAA and EASA STCs
already confirmed for King
Air aircraft, which also were developed with Pro Star.
