manager, design engineering. The project includes a
full glass cockpit retrofit that features four Universal
Avionics EFI-890H displays, two Barco displays
for EICAS, L-3 ESI-2000 standby instrument and
a dual Universal Avionics UNS-1Fw WAAS flight
management system. The scope of the project is
large with additional modifications to include a new
comm/nav suite, Primus 701 Weather Radar, TCAS
and a EuroNav VII moving map system.
Meeting growing demand
The company keeps growing. In 2014, Heli-One
opened a new 65,000-square-foot maintenance
facility in Poland. The new Rzeszow, Poland, facility
joins Heli-One's several other MRO centers in the
U.S., Canada and Norway, as well as additional
support centers positioned in the U.S., United

Kingdom, Brazil, Thailand and Australia. The
facilities total some 500,000 square feet altogether.
Its global distribution center in Amsterdam,
Netherlands, supports customers worldwide,
conducting more than a quarter million parts
transactions every year. With 24-hour AOG service
and access to a huge inventory of components, HeliOne ensures operators aren't grounded for long.
Back in Heli-One's MRO shops, the technicians
are seeing more upgrades and retrofit installations as
operators request to update their analog systems to
digital versions.
"We utilize the latest advancements in avionics
technology and safety in order to meet the demands
of our customers," Delfino said. "We're in the
process of adding ADS-B to our fleet in order to
comply with regulations in the different regions we
operate." q
