Mid Tenn Doll Club
embers of the Mid Tenn Doll Club of Murfreesboro,
Tennessee had a fantastic time celebrating their 30th
anniversary. The members decorated their venue with fall
displays along with many of their doll collections. It was
wonderful to see such a wide variety of dolls and accessories.
Sidney Bennett gave a program on fashion dolls, especially
those from the 50s and 60s. Region 8 Director Robin Wyatt
was present and displayed part of her collection of antique
reproduction French fashion dolls. The club provided a fantastic
luncheon, complete with waiters (family members dressed for
the occasion), along with table favors, door and raffle prizes.
Two other clubs joined in the fun and had a great time.

The Motherlode Doll Study Club
he Motherlode Doll Study Club holds a fundraising event
every year with its members to collect school supplies to
help underprivileged children. Each club member contributes
items such as pens, pencils, sharpeners, theme books, Kleenex
and scissors. This year the club collected approximately $150
worth of supplies and presented them to the Sonora Elementary
School. Principal Chris Boyles was most appreciative of the
donations made by the club.
