Combining reimagined intelligent I/O with an embedded
Linux real-time controller, gateway functions, and an integrated
display, groov EPIC edge programmable industrial-controller
system offers field-proven hardware design with a modern
software ensemble. The system is said to incorporate, in one
unit, everything needed to connect and control field and
operational devices and data, through on-premises IT databases,
spreadsheets, and other software, to cloud storage and services. Applications

REMOTE-SWITCH ACTUATOR
The RSA-242 remote-switch actuator is lightweight, portable, and provides
remote close or trip of an ABB/Sace Novomax air circuit breaker from as much
as 300 ft. Installation and operation do not require any modifications to existing
electrical equipment. Applications include general protection of low-voltage
primary and secondary distribution, generators,
motors, transformers, and capacitors.

TRANSMITTER FOR DIGITAL
COMMUNICATIONS
The FOUNDATION fieldbus transmitter is an addition to the
MT3809 variable-area flow meter, allowing users to integrate the unit
into their automation-control systems for data capture and digital communication across
the plant enterprise. Connecting directly with the flow meter, the transmitter is a single,
two-wire bus connection. The flow meter itself does not require power. The transmitter and
alarm options have worldwide safety approvals and SIL 2 safety certification.
