The organisers arranged for a number of French and Spanish retailers to attend the show in 2005.Amongst them was the owner of Joué Club and his senior personnel Joué Club are a group of some 300 toy stores across France . M. Pellieux was so impressed by the Withit booth and the range of licensed products exhibited the 14 million Joué Club annual catalogues that are distributed directly to consumers. News ‘hot off the press’ is that sales have been fantastic and Joué Club are looking to develop two new ranges for 2007. Following the interest shown by French companies at Brand Licensing Withit decided to exhibit at the Kazachok Licensing Forum in Paris in May 2006. This afforded Withit the opportunity of presenting their brand directly to the French market where 450 potential licensees and retailers attend. Bradley Caines, Creative Director, says “2006 was the first time Withit has exhibited in France and we were delighted and somewhat surprised by the level of interest shown”. In July 2006 Withit Licensing Limited and Jane Evans Licensing Consultancy appointed MJA Licensing S.a.r.l. to represent the brand in the French market. Already a license for daywear, outerwear, nightwear, underwear and swimwear has been signed with Embassy. The first range of T-shirts with Glamour Puss, Mad Cow, Cheeky Monkey and Foxy Lady icons will launch in late Spring in Auchan stores complete with some fashion accessories and in store signage. A larger collection is expected for Winter 2007. Cora will also launch with nightwear and daywear in Summer 2007. Footwear has been licensed to Aventure Diffusion with plans for launch with slippers in Winter 2007 followed by beach footwear for Summer 2008. Tennessee S.A. have taken the licence for stationery and are developing ranges for back to school and gifting to hit the stores in 2008. Other categories are now in discussion.
