JUNIOR YEAR LONG FOOTBALL COURSE
This junior program requires a strong personality and character Good football ability alone is not enough; your mental strength will make the difference To succeed and reach a high level of performance, you will need to be both physically and mentally strong What is the “Junior Year Long Football Course?”
Our philosophy is that exposure to foreign language, culture, and professional football training abroad will accelerate personal and athletic growth in young people. The program provides a very unique experience: a complete package of football training and language lessons that have a lasting and positive influence on the participating young player. The program is committed to delivering the highest level of language and football instruction, in secure, safe, and nurturing environments. The goal of our programme is to provide our students with higher education in football, higher education in French (becoming a successful life-long learner), and higher education in life (building character for excellence). The year-long program aims at allowing all participants: a) – Football/Soccer: to acquire a technical, tactical, physical and mental ability to compete at international level b) – School (Collège): to learn a foreign language and to follow a French normal curriculum All classes are in French, and foreign students can have adapted classes of French c) –Immersion: welcomed and hosted in a local family to experiment the French lifestyle d) - Experience: to experience life in a foreign country (Region of Cannes, France) The program is designed for serious young football players, both boys and girls from 12 to 15 years old, who desire to develop their football/soccer abilities over an extended period of time (ten months) under the guidance of our professional technical coaching staff in the area of Cannes (south of France). It coincides with the regular academic school year, from the beginning of September to the end of June of the following year. The junior program is an excellent way for young players to distinguish themselves as football players and to develop their high level capacities. It is a full-time 10 month program starting September and finishing in June. All school lectures, coaching sessions, and social activities are conducted in French, though the communicative language may still be both English and French for the first few weeks. The football/soccer training sessions are conducted every day after school. Registering players must be competitive players that are committed to improving their technical football/soccer skills, general knowledge of the game and overall experience as players. The challenge for our students is to strive to be the best that they can be : • By conquering a higher level of ability as football players and athletes (Intra-personal confidence) • By immersing in a new language - French (expanding intra-social confidence and communication skills) • By believing in their capability to be where they want to be through commitment and hard work (resilience and character formation.) As expert educators we believe and value education as the key to successful personal development. It is important to realize that all participants in this programme must agree to: 1. Study hard, 2. Train hard, 3. Give your best at all times Our year-long program has been specifically designed for students who are highly committed to excellence.
