Check out this quick list of various transportation options to help you get moving around. AIR SERVICE Nanaimo is blessed with excellent air service. The only question is what flight you will choose. Will it be a float plane into the harbour, connecting flight to the regional airport or a direct flight to one of two international airports within 90 minutes of downtown? Nanaimo Airport The Nanaimo Airport, about 15 minutes from downtown, is serviced by Air Canada Jazz from Vancouver with six flights per day, and BC West Air flies daily from Abbottsford. Conveniently 90 minutes from Nanaimo, the Comox Valley Airport is serviced by six carriers including West Jet from Alberta. Delegates can choose to bring their own vehicles with BC Ferries or pick up a rental on their arrival.
