OSPE IS LISTENING Membership Satisfaction Survey Nets Valuable Feedback OSPE is committed to delivering great returns on your investment in membership. Our latest Membership Satisfaction Survey gave all members the opportunity to express their views on the products, services and overall value OSPE offers. More than 800 members, representing all membership categories, responded to the confidential survey. A substantial majority of respondents (64%) were Professional Members. In addition to questions about awareness and experience with a variety of OSPE products and services, the survey asked members to cite their primary reason for joining OSPE. An overwhelming percentage pointed to advocacy for the engineering profession as the most important driver of their decision to join, followed by affinity programs and career services. The survey also asked members to rank the importance they attach to various OSPE offerings, including advocacy, affinity programs, career services, professional development, networking opportunities and events. Not surprisingly, advocacy was named most important by members in the Professional and Professional 65+ categories, while career-related services and professional development topped the list for Associates, Interns and Students. Overall, the majority of those who responded to the survey believe OSPE meets or exceeds their expectations. While OSPE intends to build on this positive feedback, we are equally committed to addressing the concerns of those who feel they are not seeing the returns they are looking for. The valued feedback received from the survey is an important tool to help refine current programs and develop new ones that meet the evolving needs of engineers.
