projection systems and all that goes into
it, but they enjoy the movies. The IMAX
Experience® is something that resonates
with everyone."
Broga believes that his electrical
engineering team enjoys the challenge
of working to provide a system that
is highly reliable. "It's not easy to do,
especially in the context of delivering
the solution quickly," Broga said.
"Several product development processes
are underway, and within each product
family, there's usually several issues that
need to be investigated and sorted out.
Our objective is to minimize the number
of issues we need to deal with through
optimal product design, for the entire life
of the product's usage."
One of the perks for the engineering
teams at IMAX is having access to the
in-house IMAX theatre as a testing
ground for some of their new ideas. "We
all understand that movies are what
brings in the business, so we have to be
movie people. We critique movies and
soundtracks, and get really into it. We
want to make sure our IMAX experience
is on par with the movies themselves,"
said Broga.
With so many disciplines of
engineering involved in production
at IMAX - from optical, to software,
electrical, mechanical and industrial, to
name a few - IMAX hires a wide range
of engineers and engineering graduates
to fill numerous positions within the

processes/equipment in assembly and
testing facilities

IMAX Digital Cinema/Content Supply
Chain
* Implements advanced user applications
for processing and managing
information and content for postproduction and enterprise workflows
