Global Exchange Science Students Enjoy an Expanding International Study Program Ryerson University Faculty of Science Extraordinary Opportunities 44 "Field trips are very common here; some classes have weekly outings. This is a great opportunity to see how what you are learning could be applied in the community." - Benjamin Oczkowski As a recognized global urban innovation university, Ryerson is actively expanding its focus on international learning experiences OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS , the Faculty of Science actively expanded its international study program. Formalized in the 20152016 academic year, the Global Science Citizen (GSC) Program gives select Ryerson undergraduates the chance to experience another culture via exchanges with select partner institutions - and also welcomes inbound students to the Ryerson campus. While abroad, participating students - also considered ambassadors for the faculty and Ryerson - generally delve into research or course work for one or two semesters or a summer. To date, Ryerson has sent 14 students on outbound experiences, hosted five inbound students and plans to host another seven in the fall of 2017. Ryerson is also actively expanding the program, currently formalizing a new PanAfrican math sciences partnership among others. Here are just two of the standout exchanges available:
