Animation faculty and graduates teamed up with the Art Gallery of Ontario to produce the first virtual reality art exhibit of its kind. The exhibit went on to be displayed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

Students, staff and alumni published A Celebration of Indigenous Culture at Seneca. The book documents Seneca’s long history of supporting Indigenous education and culture, and features Indigenous art, fashion and stories.

Patrick Brown, leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario, and leader of the official opposition, visited Newnham Campus in March. He joined President Agnew on a tour that included the flight simulator, HELIX and a discussion with students.

The 2016 United Way Campaign was an overwhelming success, with students and employees raising $172,566 through donations and fundraising initiatives in support of more than 250 United Way agencies throughout Toronto and York Region.
