HoW eArlY SHoulD I ArrIVe AT THe STATIon? It is always best to give yourself ample time rather than rushing, especially in a new environment. We recommend that you arrive at the station at least 30 minutes prior to your departure. This allows you enough time to clear the security check and catch your train. If it is a large station and you need to validate your rail pass, you will probably want to arrive even earlier to ensure that you get to where you need to go with time to spare. WHAT Do I Do WITH mY luggAge? on the trains you will find compartments available to store your luggage either upon entering the train cars or in overhead compartments. It’s best to clearly label all your luggage with your name to avoid any mix-ups. HoW Do I VAlIDATe mY pASS? Just go to the ticket window at the rail station before boarding your first train. A railroad official will enter the first and last day of the validity on your pass and stamp your pass. You will have to show your passport. With most passes, the pass starts the day you get it validated by a rail official. HoW Do I FInD mY TrAIn? At the train station, you’ll see large Departure and Arrival boards located in the center of most stations. Simply match the train number and departure time on your reservation or ticket to the train number on the departure board. The platform number where you should go will be listed right next to it. once on the platform you’ll notice that each car has a clear identification number on its side.
