ARENAL VOLCANO & HOT SPRINGS This imposing volcano rises majestically out of lush pastures and forests on the east end of Lake Arenal, attracting people by day and night, although the best time to see the intermittent explosions of red-hot lava is after sundown. POAS VOLCANO & LA PAZ WATERFALLS Visit Costa Rica’s oldest and most famous national park, whose main attraction, the Poas Crater, is an astounding 1.3 km wide. MONTE VERDE SKY WALK The picturesque village of Monte Verde was founded in the early 1950s by a group of Quaker settlers who began producing milk and fine cheese. Today, Monte Verde is a protected area of nearly 30,000 hectares. Sail along the tranquil waters of the Nicoya Gulf on a luxurious yacht and visit the tropical island of Tortuga, known for clear blue water, lush palms and white sand. Go snorkelling, hiking, swimming, or soak up the sun on its spectacular beach. A delicious lunch is served before returning to the mainland.
