Whether you’re here for a day or two or a week, you’ll find plenty to capture your interest cruising local waterways aboard a working shrimp boat, climbing to the top of a working lighthouse, challenging of an oceanside golf course, or exploring a tidal creek in a kayak. Whether you choose history, nature observation, fishing, golf, shopping or the arts, you’ll find plenty to pique your interest in Brunswick & The Golden Isles of Georgia. To help you get the most out of your Brunswick-Golden Isles visit, we’ve developed the following suggestions. They are organized based on the amount of time you have, as well as your special interests. Feel free to change things to suit your needs. Above all, relax and enjoy Brunswick & The Golden Isles! If you’re here for one day Take the Brunswick-Golden Isles Driving Tour, in the “Exploring” section of this Visitors Guide (see page 5). Or, pick up a driving tour brochure at any of our local welcome centers. Consider exploring Brunswick and St. Simons Island in the morning, followed by lunch. Use the afternoon to explore Jekyll Island and end the day with dinner at any of our local restaurants (see “Tasting” section starting on page 39). If you’re here for two days Use your first day to take the Driving Tour, then decide what to see and do at a more leisurely pace during your second day.
