Lighthouse (continued) the lighthouse to a top viewing deck for stunning panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and Currituck Sound, as well as visit the restored Lighthouse Keepers’ House which now serves as a Museum Shop. The Lighthouse and Museum Shop are open daily from Easter through Thanksgiving. During periods of high wind or thunderstorms, the tower and viewing deck may be closed. Visitors are encouraged to call ahead. Rainy Day Activities Don’t let a little rain discourage you from enjoying your vacation. There are still plenty of fun and entertaining things for the whole family to do even when the weather is not so fair. Instead of sitting inside, try one of these activities. • See the Corolla Wild Horses: Except in severe weather, most tour companies will take visitors out in the rain. Visit the Wild Horse Museum located in the Historic Corolla Schoolhouse. • Go Touring: Visit Currituck Heritage Park in Corolla where you can take a tour of the Whalehead Club, or participate in one of the numerous free programs offered by the Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education. If strong winds and lightning are not present, climb the 163-foot high Currituck Beach Lighthouse to the top viewing deck. http://www.outerbankcorollahamptoninn.com http://www.outerbankcorollahamptoninn.com http://www.ncwildlife.org http://www.corolla-inn.com http://www.atlanticrealty-nc.com http://www.beachrealtync.com http://www.brindleybeach.com http://www.carolinadesigns.com http://www.corollaclassicvacations.com
