See the Outer Banks in a new way while reconnecting with family or friends. Whether in a tent, a camper or recreational vehicle, you’ll find a place to suit your needs. For private campgrounds, see pages 78, 123, and 134. NATIONAL PARK SERVICE CAMPGROUNDS Cape Hatteras National Seashore has four campgrounds: Oregon Inlet, Cape Point, Frisco and Ocracoke. All campgrounds accommodate tents, trailers and motor homes. Ocracoke is the only Cape Hatteras National Seashore campground that requires reservations; all others assign spaces on a first come, first serve basis. No more than two vehicles (a pop-up camper is considered a vehicle) and six persons may occupy a single space. Campground open and close dates are subject to change.
