Featured will be living replicas of national monuments as a salute to our veterans. Parade starts at 9 a.m. 262-634-1931. August 1-31 6th ANNUAL PUBLIC ART EVENT Main and Sixth streets., Racine View one-of-a-kind art pieces created by local artists and displayed throughout the Downtown area. Past events have featured decorated dogs, cats, bears, fish, otters, birds and birdbaths and lighthouses. Music by Community School Marching Band and Belle City Brassworks; miniature Circus Wagon Train preceded by Children’s Parade of bicycles, tricycles, and wagons. Begins at 9:30 a.m. 262-878-4606. 21 LIGHTHOUSE RUN Downtown Racine Choose from 4-and 10-mile competitive runs or a 2-or 4-mile run/walk course. Racers on the biking leg of the Spirit of Racine Triathlon. 6 WIND POINT LIGHTHOUSE TOUR TO THE TOP Wind Point Lighthouse 4725 Lighthouse Drive, Racine Friends of the Wind Point Lighthouse will hold a climb to the top of the 108-foot structure. Climbers can trek the 144 steps to the top of the lighthouse for views of Lake Michigan. Climbers will be able to walk out on the catwalk atop the lighthouse. The museum is also open. Guides will be available to answer questions.
