Principal Dancer, Carolina Ballet
Marcelo's training began in his home
country Paraguay and led him to Brazil
and then to the United States. In 2007
he joined the Carolina Ballet and worked
to achieve his promotion to principal in
2010. On the stage he has dazzled in
performances of Robert Weiss's
"Romeo and Juliet," Balanchine's
"Stars and Stripes" and "Fancy Free"
by Jerome Robbins.
