Friday Night on White
E. Carroll Joyner Park
Welcome to Wake Forest!
Nestled just 30 minutes northeast of downtown Raleigh, small-town charm and big-city
benefits combine seamlessly in the Town of Wake Forest. With 220 sunny days a year,
you'll have plenty of time to discover the local brewery, restaurants, live music venues,
boutiques and abundant green spaces.
ne of the first things you'll notice about
the Town of Wake Forest is inviting green
spaces. While the greenways do have economic
and transportation objectives, they were
also created with environmental stewardship
and learning in mind. The miles of trails and
streams and acres of greenways provide a living
classroom where residents and visitors can learn
about the land, water, plants and animals.
Located on Harris Rd., the E. Carroll Joyner
Park Trails are some of the most popular. With
three miles of paved trails, you can choose
among five loops and one out-and-back trail.
The trails are ideal for walking, bicycling and inline skating. Leashed dogs are welcome.

All of that time walking or biking the greenways
will certainly give you a thirst and hunger for
more. Good news! A visit to downtown Wake
Forest will satisfy your thirst, your hunger,
as well as your desire for unique shopping
experiences... and perhaps even some
performing arts and live music.
Downtown dining and sipping choices include
global influences and down-home flavors. Roll
up your sleeves for a burger, a pizza or a hearty
lunch buffet. Get a jolt of java at a local coffee
shop or reach for something stronger at our
local brewery. Save room for a sweet treat of
homemade ice cream or a decadent dessert.
Complete your visit with an afternoon of
browsing local vintage and antique shops,
hobby and home décor stores. Maybe even a
sweet to-go at the candy shop.
