Any floorplan feedback is appreciated. Currently there are 10 ops in around 3,500 sq. ft.
Also, does anyone have experience with pedo sound control using double-studded walls
(where there are two separate, non-touching sets of studs and insulation between each piece
of drywall)? One wall is adjacent to the waiting room. n

Research wall STC ratings. sound transmission class. There are lots of ways to prevent
sound transmission: isolation clips, mass-loaded vinyl, etc. In the office I am working on
now, we are doing Quietrock, which is a drywall product that gives you great STC ratings
in various wall assemblies.
Other comments:
I don't like how people will need to walk through the front desk to get to the consult
rooms. Bottleneck at the checkout area. n

Sound travels through the ceilings much more than through the walls. n

I have read a reasonable amount about STC ratings. However, I want to hear how they
have worked in the real world with the three-year-old sibling who starts screaming bloody
murder even though it's her brother getting the prophy. :) n
