She has been a dental hygiene educator at Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania for 34 years. Levin-Goldstein has presented numerous continuing-education courses on a variety of topics to dental and dental hygiene societies, as well as Dentaltown's Townie Meeting in 2013 and 2016. She has published in the Journal of Dental Hygiene and is a contributing author for six chapters in the textbook, Head, Neck and Dental Anatomy (Fourth Edition). This course is the first in a series of oral pathology presentations emphasizing common diseases prevalent among women, men, and children. For this course, the focus will be on three oral diseases-Sjögren's syndrome, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and burning mouth syndrome (BMS)-that are more common in women and associated with unpleasant taste and pain in the tongue.
