From an orthodontic perspective the return
of the tier 2 DWSI diploma to recognise the
ability of GDPs in the delivery of orthodontics
in the UK.

They get on and look out for each other and
share the goals and vision of the clinic

I think the team are the asset of the practice
and have taken time to find the right people
and then invest in training them. Without
them the clinic would struggle. ■

rewarding experience in your
professional life.

We have short morning huddles to run
through the day and once a month we have a
formal practice meeting to review the whole
clinic over the previous month and discuss what
good and what bad things have happened and
what we can change for the future.

Starting my clinic Aqua Dental Spa in
London's West End in 2006 which grew to be
a successful 3 surgery practice focused primarily
on offering aesthetic dental treatments to
patients who wanted to improve their smiles.
In 2016 I sold the clinic to a corporate.
I have now started another clinic called
Aqua Dental Clinic in Hatch end, Middlesex
which is now 2 years old.

I like RNB

What would you like to see in the
dentaltownuk magazine in the future?
It would be great to draw experiences from
successful entrepreneurs outside dentistry in
service industries to learn from their business
skills.

ABOUT THE TEAM:

Do you work alongside other
dentists? If so, what are their names,
and what interests/skills in dentistry
do they have?
My wife Neera is a general dentist with
an interest in orthodontics, she currently
partaking the MSc in orthodontics from
Warwick University.
Dr Adi Moran is a specialist orthodontist
with an interest in lingual orthodontics and
Damon appliances.

How many other members do you
have in your dental team, and what
are their roles?
Hygienst - Sima Patel. Facial Aesthetician -
Allysun Rumsdale. Front desk manager- Baljit.
Dental nurses- Krystyna and Mel

Do you have team meetings? If so,
what format do they take?

What did you do for your last staff
Christmas night out?
We went to a family run Greek restaurant
nearby to the clinic

ABOUT THE PRACTICE

How is your practice laid out, what is
the workflow like?
We have 2 treatment rooms with planning
permission just granted to add a consultation
room and a third treatment room. We use our
front desk manager as a treatment coordinator
to carry out preliminary conversations with
patients, then manage the treatment plans and
financial arrangements.

Do you play music in the practice? If
so, what do you play?
We play spa like music to create a calming
ambience for our patients

What sets your practice apart from
others?
We deliver a patient focused journey from
the initial phone call to the moment they
complete their treatment. Making patients
happy is our engrained motto as we approach
every interaction.

How do you market your practice?
We internally market our patients with
offers, expanding services and invitations
for referrals.
We also externally market with leaflets,
banners and newspaper advertisements
as well as digital marketing using our
website and social media channels.
