Circle 213 HP Completes PANTONE Licensing H P announces the completion of the PANTONE Goe licensing for the HP Indigo Ink Mixing System. Goe System, a two-swatchbook bundle offering a convenient way to compare solid PANTONE Goe Colors with their simulations in HP Indigo four-color, on-press process. The new PANTONE Goe license for the HP Indigo Ink Mixing System, together with the original PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM license, produces more than 3,000 PANTONE Colors. Circle 210 Additionally, HP developed the industry’s first swatchbook for on-press PANTONE Goe simulation. The new HP Indigo PANTONE Goe simulation swatchbook is included in Pantone and HP’s new version of the Digital Color Toolbox for the PANTONE Environmentally Friendly Mounting Adhesive N eschen Americas introduces its newest product from the SEAL brand Eco Logic Manufacturing program—SEAL Eco Mount. SEAL Eco Mount is a water-based, polyacrylate, unsupported, pressure-sensitive adhesive that is both recyclable and environmentally degradable. With no carrier film, and a selective chemistry that offers optimum bonding performance while minimizing the impact on paper recycling streams, Eco Mount offers customers a mounting adhesive that can be recycled with corrugated and paper products. SEAL Eco Mount is selfwound onto a siliconized Kraft paper release liner. It is 1-mil thick and is available in rolls 38-inch by 200-foot and 51-inch by 200-foot. Circle 209 Key features include permanent adhesive that bonds quickly to plastics, glass and metals, including aluminum; it eliminates the need for specialized inks or drying systems; and a polycoat liner allows for excellent lay flat during multiple ink passes. Circle 214 SGIA Canal Street Initiative T he latest phase of the SGIA Canal Street initiative is an installation of 33 large format graphic panels over the Woolworth building located on the corner of Canal and Rampart Streets in New Orleans. 40 company volunteers helped enhance Canal Street’s image. To install the panels over the Woolworth building, employees with Digital Imaging Group LLC printed the graphics on vinyl and applied them to an aluminum composite material that could be mounted on the building surface without using screws, which the city of New Orleans requested. The SGIA Canal Street Initiative installed more than 100 graphic panels on buildings along Canal Street, from the French Quarter to Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Volunteer companies are set to carry out the last installation phase at the Audubon building. The installation will involve multiple panel applications and graphics that cover more than 2,420 square feet of the building. Circle 207 Océ Introduces Eco-Solvent Printer O cé introduces the Océ CS9160 printer, using eco-solvent inks to create indoor and outdoor durable prints. The printer is environmentally safe and easy to use, producing high quality prints. The 64-inch wide Océ CS9160 printer provides proven reliability, superior print quality, and increased productivity. Print speeds of up to 197 square feet per hour at 720x720 dpi are achievable. It offers expanded ink capacity with the ability to use 440 ml cartridges. With 440 ml of ink always on-line, productivity is increased because ink change-outs are halved compared to printers using standard 220 ml cartridges.
