Several times during the play, whenever they would be confronted with a problem, she would repeat her line, “Don’t worry Joseph, God is watching over us”. This is a good lesson for us to remember when we are overly anxious about something. If only we could develop the trust and faith of a child to know we are God’s children and His love and concern are such that He wants only the best for us. When Mary and Joseph were on their way to Bethlehem, they were well aware that it was near the time for Mary to give birth. Although we can only imagine the deep concern that Joseph must have had for his wife and child, both Mary and Joseph knew and trusted that God was watching over them.
