Pine Belt - Volume 1, Issue 8 - (Page 10) 10 — For Advertising Information Call 601-543-8627 It’s that time of year again when we think of the friends we’ve made and the new neighbors we’ve welcomed and we want to say “thank you” again for helping make Hattiesburg a better place to live, work and raise a family. Our REALTOR® organization continued our efforts this year to give back to our community in many ways. Our Mississippi Scholars program was the most successful, thus far, in graduating participants. We supported our Troops with yellow ribbons, remembered our Veterans with blue and celebrated our Independence with red. Smiles were abundant as pumpkins were distributed to children for Halloween trick or treating. Our first ever, board wide, United Way Campaign brought success and enlightened many who did not realize the scope of coverage of the United Way of Southeast Mississippi. This United Way touches thousands of lives across our neighborhoods and every walk of life. We are proud to be a part of this organization. As we enter our Christmas Season, you’ll see us at the Salvation Army Angel Tree and ringing the bell at Turtle Creek Mall. Stop by and see us. Join us in giving and selecting “Angels” to make sure others have a Christmas. To ice our Christmas cake, REALTORS® and Affiliates will come together for our yearly breakfast December 12th. Each member will bring a toy to be delivered to the Salvation Army for their annual “Birthday for Jesus” celebration. We are so blessed to live and work where we do. No matter what the rest of the Nation has faced and is facing, our greater Hattiesburg area has, historically, enjoyed the steady growth of a healthy economy and we don’t see that changing. May God bless you and all you love this holiday season and give you good health and prosperity in the New Year! Sue Gallaspy, President Hattiesburg Area Association of REALTORS®
