CONgRATuLATIONS! 2008 Newcomer of the Year Misty Corts he “Newcomer of the Year is awarded to the agent who has been in the business for 18 months or less and has become involved in local board activities. It also honors participation in community service, charitable organizations, service clubs, political committees, & fraternal or religious groups. Misty Corts, this year’s recipient more than exemplifies these requirements. She has been a donor, and volunteer and a booster for all HAAR activities since first joining the Board. Misty was living in Kentucky when she studied for the Mississippi state real estate test at night and within two weeks, took the exam, moved to Hattiesburg and started to work! She assumed the rental accounts for Re/MaX upon arriving and that department has grown and strengthened under her direction. Misty and her husband, Reid, have jointed First Baptist Church. They enjoy volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, Reid putties and landscapes and Misty prepares the food. They volunteered as team helpers at T-Ball for their 4 year old daughter, Mackenzie.
