Sharon started in the mortgage business in 1978 for a local Hattiesburg Bank. Relocating to the Gulf Coast in 1986 she continued her career in the Mortgage Industry as Loan Originator and proving herself as Manager and Sr. Vice President for a Gulfport Based Mortgage Division of a New Orleans Bank. Sharon is married to James H. Rice, together they have 4 children and 7 wonderful grandchildren and expecting number 8 in early December, 2008. Hurricane Katrina left her and her husband displaced from their home in Gulfport. Having family and a place to live in Hattiesburg, they started anew. Sharon has a sincere spirit and is very easy to work with. She has a proven ability to work in the client’s best interest and find the right loan for them. She knows how to work successfully with borrowers, realtors, title companies and investors. She will carefully guide her client through the entire home loan process, and can help them on your way to a “New Beginning”. Sharon is an active member of Temple Baptist Church and serves as President of the Exchange Club of Oak Grove, served on the golf tournament committee and silent auction committee for the Homes of Hope for Children, She jumped in and served as chairperson for the Community Service Committee this year. Her committee has been very active doing projects such as Make a House a Home, Helping the Adept School, Trunk for Treat at Halloween, putting out Flags for the 4th of July, Team Leader for the Heart Walk Association and any project to help her community.
