Graduate Prospects - September 5, 2007 - (Page 12) 12 PROSPECTS GRADUATE Issue 50 · 5 September · Fortnightly www.prospects.ac.uk lookcloser achievemore Manchester Engineering Doctorate Programme (EngD) Engineering for Manufacture Opportunities to join a flagship doctoral programme and gain valuable industry experience Applications are invited for a limited number of Engineering Doctorate (EngD) Studentships as shown below to start October 2007 or as soon as possible thereafter. The EngD is a 4 year flagship doctoral programme which combines a challenging research project, carried out in close collaboration with an industrial sponsor, together with a Diploma in Enterprise Management and a comprehensive personal skills development programme. Students (Research Engineers) will normally spend 50-75% of their time based at the sponsoring company. Studentships, awarded by the EngD Centre, are funded jointly by the University and the sponsoring company. Successful applicants will receive an enhanced stipend of at least £17,600 pa tax free.
