The successful candidate will engage with local sports clubs, leisure centres, the Local Sports Council, Outreach Workers and other partner agencies. The aim should be to deliver SPORTSZONE, the Bucks Youth Games and the general community coaching scheme focusing on rural and deprived areas. The role will also include direct line management responsibilities for sports coaches. The success of the role will be measured by an increase in participation in healthy activities, a decrease in anti-social behaviour and reduction in obesity. The person must be organised, self motivated, have experience of sports coaching and qualified to National Governing Body Level 2 in at least one sport. They should have the ability to work in partnership, background knowledge of sport and health issues and the ability to drive in a predominantly rural area is essential. The successful candidate will need a flexible attitude to working evenings and weekends and will be subject to vetting by the Criminal Records Bureau.
