Offered in partnership with The University of Northampton, this is a unique opportunity for a committed, career-focused individual to contribute to the strategic direction of a company working in the packaging sector, and highly focused upon resource management and environmental sustainability within a supply chain context. Working closely with senior managers, and reporting directly to the Technical Manager, you will be required to undertake a thorough audit of the company and supply chain partners. Building upon this, you will drive the development of an Environmental Management System and train staff to embed sustainable practice. Your work is likely to aid in identifying the need to design and implement improvements to existing products and their production, as well as consider the issues around new product development and new approaches to company environmental operations. You will have a first or upper second degree in waste and resource management, environmental management (or similar discipline) with well developed auditing skills. You will be interested in working with environmental management systems for companies and especially those within supply chain developments. You will have well developed skills in quantitative data analysis. Equally important are well-honed interpersonal skills and the ability to deliver polished presentations. You must be highly creative, dynamic, self motivated and career driven, with a strong desire to pursue continuous professional development.
