A vacancy has arisen for a Graduate Metallurgist to join our Group Quality Assurance Department who are responsible for providing advice and support to all divisions within the British Engines Group. The role will provide the opportunity to gain experience and knowledge in the application of metallurgical processes, materials and to work with customers and suppliers. Specific activities will include: G Advising on the use and application of steels and other materials that are used in the Group G Advising on castings, forging, surface treatments (e.g. carburising, nitriding, tufftriding) and corrosion G Providing advice on the metallurgical processes in operation in the Group: welding, HVOF coating and nickel plating and ensuring the above processes are controlled and qualified to the applicable standards G Undertaking metallurgical reviews of customers orders and specifications and liaising with customers and suppliers.
