Further information is available at www.syngenta.com Formulation Chemist £22,000 - £29,000 · Jealott’s Hill, Bracknell, Berkshire Our growing, dedicated Formulation Development team helps to develop formulated products for new and established active materials such as herbicides, fungicides and insecticides. This role involves designing the work programmes, preparation, physical characterisation and analysis of candidate formulations, and analysis of the results of this work against defined criteria in order to help to determine the next stages of the projects. In addition, you will provide varying degrees of technical and production support for established products. It is a largely laboratory based, experimental role in which you will design novel formulation options, before carrying out experiments at various levels from a laboratory to manufacturing scale, then interpreting and reporting your findings and conclusions. So you will need to take a highly analytical approach, occasionally liaising with other departments to coordinate work programmes and discuss potential approaches. You will need a good degree, or equivalent, in a chemistry related discipline. Beyond that, you will need to be an innovative thinker with great people skills and a flexible, tenacious, results-driven approach, whether you have some lab-based (ideally product development) experience or come to us having recently graduated. To apply, please email full CV including current salary to uk.recruitment@syngenta.com quoting reference JH022. Closing date: 25th July 2008.
