The positions were introduced within the company in late 2005 and provide a valuable, constantly evolving service to ITFC’s subtitling business. Joining us, you will provide monitoring and technical support for incoming subtitling streams and their successful transmission to air. There is also the requirement to provide administrative support, i.e. transmission schedule information, accessing and sending running orders and newsroom downloads, and researching programme content prior to transmission. In addition to the above, Media Access Assistants provide general administrative support on an as needed basis. Essential abilities are: Adaptability to various subtitling software programmes and general computer literacy. Quick and constructive thinking. Effective communication skills. Flexibility in approach to work. Excellent keyboard skills. Well-developed Word and Excel skills. These vacancies are shift posts, to include a mix of shifts and some weekend/Bank Holiday working.
