Monday 2nd March Careers in Radio & TV News Led by: BBC Radio Merseyside 13:00 - 14:00 tick to highlight Do you fancy working as a broadcast journalist? Find out what it's really like working in Radio and TV news. What's the difference between a researcher, producer, reporter, presenter, editor and correspondent? Get a sense of what these people do, whether it's for you, and some insights into the best ways of getting into the industry. This session will be led by Jonathan Hallewell who graduated from the University of Liverpool with a degree in Geophysics. He has worked across Britain for the BBC as a reporter, producer and more recently as an editor. The seminar will provide you with useful advice on how to approach potential employers and will provide a check list of dos and don'ts when applying for a job in PR. The presentation will give an overview of postgraduate study opportunities in Australia, and how internationally recognised universities in Australia offer a broad range of academic and professional postgraduate options.
