It then occurred to us that we know, or have met, at least eight artists who live or have their studios within ten miles of my office. I thought (to myself, and kept to myself as I know my wife's comments would have been something along the lines of, "No dear, you are not a De Medici patron of the arts, you are a modest family doctor practicing medicine in Chester County.") as we traveled to David's home gallery and studio that this is what it must have been like at the peak of the Renaissance in 15th century Florence, Italy with artists of great talent and stunning achievement found in every corner of the realm. And so it really is in Chester County and David Katz is among the very best of the Chester County art community. I am privileged to present him for our autumn edition.http://www.chestercms.org
