disease. Patients with mild cognitive impairment or early
Alzheimer's disease (mini-mental status in high teens to midtwenties) may be eligible for either of these studies.
3) We have two trials for treatment of agitation in Alzheimer's
disease of any severity. These trials involve molecules (one
completely novel, one recently released for another purpose),
which we hope will provide mood stabilization with less risk
than current antipsychotics. Even Alzheimer's patients with
subtle behavioral changes, such as more impulsiveness or
argumentativeness, may qualify for these behavioral studies.

I am working to make clinical trials accessible and local to
our patients and to us. Offering opportunities to participate in

clinical research allows us to broaden, and perhaps improve, the
care we provide. For now, I ask that you consider discussing these

more closely with you to grow clinical research in our community.
