OUT AND ABOUT
WITH DCMSA
DCMSA awarded $12,000 to area organizations that support
the mission of DCMSA at our annual "Spring into Fashion Show and
Luncheon." The recipients included: Kidney Foundation of Central PA,
Beacon Clinic for Health and Hope, Communities That Care, The Mental
Wellness Awareness Assoc. Inc., Community Check-Up Center, Gold
Humanism Honor Society - PSU-Med Students, PSU HMC Prevention
Project, LionCare Free Clinic and Lincoln Intermediate Unit First Aid
Education Program.
DCMSA awarded $750.00 to this year's CASEF Award winners
for Science Projects at the Whitiker Science center. The Senior
Award was given to Devin De Pamphilis. Junior Awards were awarded
to Carter Martin, Isabella Serra and Delia Corbett.
DCMSA donated $2500 to the Pennsylvania Medical Society
AMES Scholarship Fund.
Volunteer workers continued to serve our community at Foose
Elementary School via the Hands Are Not For Hitting Program,
Community Check-up Center by reading to young children, Shalom House
via donations and through various other activities.
DCMSA participated in Dr. Seuss Day by reading to children at
Steelton Elementary School.
New Board members will be installed on May 9, 2017 at our May
luncheon and Gavel Club. The officers were approved by the current
board at our April Meeting and Luncheon.
