WOLOSKI, MD F ew think twice about scheduling a medical appointment when an unrelenting illness comes knocking at the door. The challenge, therefore, becomes motivating ourselves to seek healthcare for the purposes of prevention as well. The question is simple, "When was the last time you visited your primary care physician?" The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) recently launched a campaign entitled, "Stay Well Soon." These three simple words remind us that even in times of good health we need to make every effort to "stay well." Yet, it only takes spending a few hours in a nearby primary care office to see that the scheduling of solely "preventive" visits remains scarce. 8 Summer 2017 Central PA Medicine
