THE YEAR
OF THE DOG
In the Chinese Zodiac, 2018 is the year of the dog
which became one of the zodiac animals because of its
close relationship with people. People born during the
year of the dog are believed to inherit some of the animal's
characteristics, such as loyalty, patience, and reliability.

Would you stand up and walk out on me? Lend
me your eyes and I will change what you see.
Lend me your ears and I'll tell you a story ...
#ChadThePitBull
An estimated one in
four women and one in
seven men are subjected to
domestic abuse each year.
Far from a simple cultural
or public policy challenge,
domestic abuse can be
physical, psychological,
verbal and even financial.

Aware of the statistics and understanding the importance
of giving back, showing love and compassion to victims of
domestic abuse, together at CHAD'S PAGE, they ran their own
event to help bring awareness to the victims, families and pets
of Domestic Violence by selling a special edition of Valentine's
Day cards and donating all of the proceeds to The Domestic
Abuse Project of Delaware County, Inc. A little late at the start,
but never too late, the idea on paper, printed, posted and sold in 3
short weeks. The post reached more than 8,000 people, all over
the world; Chad's cards even shipped to Germany!

Thank you to all from Christine Dampman,
Owner, Chad the Pitbull ... It honestly does take
a village!! Visit and "like" us on facebook.com/

It is important for the
public and lawmakers
alike to know how to help
domestic violence survivors.
We need more people to
work together and help raise
public awareness to this issue. No one realizes how prevalent
this crisis is until it hits their home!!
Domestic abuse can take any form, and people are not
the only victims. It often involves companion animals. Each
year, nearly one million animals are abused or killed due to
domestic violence. Nearly half of abused women stay in harmful
relationships out of concern for the welfare of their beloved pets.
Literally, these women put themselves at further risk to protect
their animals. Yet, just three percent of America's domestic
violence shelters allow pets.
