Spring Forward

The Bond
Saturday, June 3

The Parliament Arts Organization is gearing up for its 5th
Annual Spring Forward to be held at The Bond in the Royal
Square. It's art meets fashion meets live art installation meets
party you won't soon forget. Ten area artists will partner with
downtown retailers to create immersive art installations full of
three-dimensional objects and design elements bringing art

Sashiko Embroidery Workshop by Make:Craft

Redeux, 113 South Duke Street
Saturday, May 20

Learn the ancient Embroidery art form of sashiko. This is a
very simple style that can add interest to clothing and decor.
Participants will have the option to embroider a tea towel
or begin to embroider a kit which can be transformed into a
pillow or framed artwork. Fee for instructions and all supplies
is $30. Extra kits, thread and tea towels will be available for

live entertainment. June's First Friday's theme is "Dads and

Strand Capitol Performing Arts Center

Downtown Kids' Walking Tour

Join Downtown Inc for the third installment in our series of
Kids Downtown Walking Tours. Our summer tour features
stops at four downtown merchants specializing in activities
and programming for the youngest members of our community. At each location, children and parents will be "makers,"
creating one-of-a-kind items to play with or eat from these
unique shops and organizations.

York's first downtown flea market and vendor showcase returns with four events in their 2017 season. This year's events
will be held the third Saturdays in June, July, August and
September in Cherry Lane Park. Additional information about
