GETTING HERE AND PARKING
Downtown York is easily accessible from all points North, South,
East and West. Main arteries you want to look for? George
Street and Queen Street from the North and South; Market
Street and Philadelphia Street from the East and West.
From Lancaster: Take Route 30 West to North George Street.
Turn left onto North George Street. Follow straight.

WeCo [wee-koh]
Go West to WeCo. Located just across the Codorus Creek,
WeCo is a diverse business district with restaurants, shopping, entertainment, community activities, an independent
movie theater and local businesses. Here you'll also find the
Penn Street Farmers Market.

From Harrisburg and all points North: Take I-83 South to Route 30
West, Exit 22 (N. George St.). Stay in the middle lane and turn
right at the light on to North George Street. Follow straight.
From Gettysburg: Take Route 30 East to North George Street.
Turn right onto North George Street. Follow straight.
From South/Baltimore: Take I-83 North to South George
Street Exit. Follow Business I-83/South George Street.
PARKING
Parking is plentiful in York City, with 350 on-street meters
and 1,260 garage spaces in three garages conveniently located within walking distance to Downtown attractions.

Market District
Anchored by Central Market, the Market District spans from
Market Street through the North George Street corridor.
Shop, dine and be entertained throughout the Dank Park.
North Beaver Street, Downtown's popular shopping destination, is located in the Market District.

Royal Square Neighborhood
Home to artists' collectives, galleries and eclectic retail
locations, Royal Square is an emerging arts and shopping
destination in downtown York. Royal Square's regal name
comes from its imperial location, flanked by Princess, Duke,
King and Queen Streets.

Parking in York City garages is $2.50 per hour from 8am to 5pm.

Monday through Friday, 5pm-8am
Saturday and Sunday, ALL DAY
*Please note: occasionally a $6 Strand Event fee may be in effect in the
Philadelphia Street Garage only during large Strand-Capitol events.
PARKING METERS
Enforcement Hours:
Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm (Free on
Sundays and holidays observed by the City of York)
Saturday from 9am-3pm for parking meters
located in the "Retail Zone"/Core
The "Retail Zone" is:
*George Street between King Street and North Street
*Beaver Street between King Street and Gas Avenue
*Market Street between Duke Street and Pershing Avenue
*Philadelphia Street between Duke Street and Pershing Avenue
Meters are marked with the hours of operation and enforcement.
Meter Rates:
$0.05 - 3 minutes, $0.10 - 6 minutes, $0.25 - 15 minutes
A maximum of 2 hours is allowed at all York City meters.

VALET PARKING

Downtown Valet Parking is now available by
Pullman Valet Service on Thursday, Friday and Saturday
evenings from 5pm until last call. Service is available in
front of Tutoni's, 108 North George Street.

SmartMeters

Park with one easy swipe: SmartMeters in the City of York. Over 200
SmartMeters in the Retail Zone/Core of Downtown York allow for payment with both credit cards and coins.
