Though the holidays may be over, January
is the time to CELEBRATE! The Cultural
Alliance of York County will once again
host our "CelebrateARTS" week of
free cultural events January 14-20,
2018 in York!
CelebrateARTS was created by the
Cultural Alliance to showcase the
amazing artistic talent and cultural
heritage in York, and provide a variety of
free, fun events to kick off our 2018 annual
campaign; "The Arts Connect It All."

Free events from January 14-20th to include:
January 14th-Opening of "Three Generations" featuring the artwork of Kara
Gonzales, Carol Oldenburg, and Gloria Oldenburg at the York Art Association.
January 15th-Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration featuring displays of
fine art, songs of resistance and triumph, powerful spoken-word performance, and
soul cuisine at Union Lutheran Church.
January 16th-York Story Slam monthly storytelling event where anyone can take
a turn at the microphone and tell a TRUE story at Holy Hound Taproom.
January 17th-Silent Wurlitzer Film accompanied by the 1927 Mighty Wurlitzer
theatre organ, bringing the silent screen to life in a new way at the Capitol Theater
in the Appell Center.
January 18th-Magical Date Night for Adult Harry Potter fans, recreating one of
our favorite magical beings - the screaming mandrake root at Creative York!
January 19th-FREE Open Hip Hop Class for ages 8+ at Greater York Dance.
January 19th-Night at the Silent Disco featuring York's FIRST silent disco with interactive performance by Greater York Dance in the Studio at the Appell Center!
January 20th-"When In Rome" Morning Dress Rehearsal previewing the
York Symphony Orchestra concert performance of "When In Rome" at the
Appell Center.
January 20th-Magic at the Museum Family Day bringing the magic of Harry
Potter together with science and technology at this magic-themed family day with
the York County History Center!
