SPRING 2017 POLST to be announced in the coming weeks. Sen. Camera Bartolotta (R-Greene) has introduced the CRNP independent practice legislation (SB25) that could see Senate consideration in the near term. This legislation is identical to last session's SB717, which PAMED successfully defeated with the help of physicians across the state. As in the past with SB717, PAMED has asked physicians to reach out to their individual state senator to express opposition to this new proposal. Details about SB25 can be found on PAMED's website at www.pamedsoc.org. While individual physician engagement is critical to a successful legislative campaign, political advocacy is equally important... the two go hand-in-hand. PAMED's political action committee, PAMPAC, focuses soley on electing legislative candidates who understand the role physicians play in the health and welfare of every Pennsylvania patient. Please consider supporting PAMPAC with your financial contribution. Information about PAMPAC can also be found on PAMED's website.
